I am sure you would all like to join me in saying well done to Colin Wright, one of our most experienced Associates, for completing his half marathon on Sunday, March 24th. All his hard work in training paid off.
Colin ran the half-marathon in memory of his friend Mick Neville … the funds he raised will go to Severn Hospice where Mick spent his final days.
Colin ran as a tribute to Mick, who sadly died last September. The two men had worked together for some years and teamed up on some of MCP’s most prestigious projects in the Middle East. Our staff all knew Mick in different ways – as a work colleague, fellow Formula 1 & heavy rock fanatic and friend – but we are all agreed that we were lucky to have known him and lucky that Mick has been part of our lives.
Both men shared a love of running so this is a fitting tribute. Everyone at MCP would like to thank Colin for making such a huge personal contribution and we would personally like to thank you all our staff for contributing to such a worthy cause.
Bev, Mick’s wife sent the following message “Please pass on my thanks to everyone who donated in aid of the hospice for Colin running the Ironbridge half marathon yesterday. We are really grateful and I’m sure the hospice will be thrilled.”
The photo is of a Colin smiling with his well-deserved finisher’s medal; it is clear how much this meant.
