Chongqing in south-west China. It’s the largest city on earth with some 37 million people living in its urban area. Its built around the meeting point of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers. Chongqing looks like the future, with over 100 buildings over 150m tall and is the fastest growing city in China.
It’s also the spiritual home of the fieriest Sichuan mala hotpot in the world. According to some estimates, there are more than 50,000 hotpot restaurants in China’s aptly named “Hotpot City”.
Two nice photos of Peter Gagg and the team from Porton Fine Chemicals site in Chongqing. Below is the team Peter worked to deliver a week-long assessment at the Porton site. The image shows the entire team just after the closing session on the 14th September.
The photo below is a photo of Peter Gagg and the Porton Team at one of the famous HotPot Restaurants high up in the mountains in Chongqing. Set in spectacular scenery, Peter and the team had a lovely evening celebrating after the working week.
Great tributes were made to Peter with one of the team saying “We give a big thanks to you, Peter. You are so knowledgeable and rich experience, this last week has helped the team and Porton tremendously. Thank you.”
